Richard Mojena is Professor of Management Science and Information Systems in the College of Business Administration at The University of Rhode Island. He received a B.S. in Aerospace Engineering, an M.B.A., and a Ph.D. in Quantitative Analysis and Finance, all from the University of Cincinnati.

He has consulted and published articles in professional journals on statistical forecasting and classification methods, applied mathematics, and financial modeling. He is the author and co-author of ten textbooks in operations research and computer programming and of articles in Journal of Communication, Omega: The International Journal of Management Science, Decision Sciences, The Computer Journal, and The Encyclopedia of Statistical Sciences.

He has received the CBA Instructional Excellence Award, the Executive MBA Best Teacher Award, teaches undergraduate and graduate courses in software development and operations research, and carries on with research into the mysteries of stock market timing.
