This program is designed to prepare students for international careers. The program meets the needs of business and industry in the rapidly evolving global workplace. It provides the opportunity to earn simultaneous degrees; a BS in Business Administration with a major in one of the seven business disciplines and a BA in Chinese or French or German or Spanish.
IBP students study language and culture each semester along with their business curriculum. In the fourth or fifth year of the five-year program, they then go abroad as interns with participant firms in Asia, Europe or Latin America, and also as exchange students with one of our partner universities.
IBP students graduate with an excellent business background, with fluency in at least one language other than English, and with concrete work experience under their belts. The rapid expansion of global business will ensure that IBP graduates will be in very high demand.
The program offers a thorough grounding in one of the College of Business Administration majors: Accounting, Finance, General Business, International Business, Entrepreneurship Management, Marketing, and Supply Chain Management. The addition of a second degree in a language and experience in the overseas marketplace will make our graduates front-runners in the development of the new global economy.
Coupled with the opportunity to participate in our College of Business Administration Honors Program, this program offers a unique set of knowledge and the opportunity for experience involving different disciplines and geographic areas.
