Evening Program
Graduating Students
Are you planning on graduating this semester? If so, you will need to do the following during the first month of the semester you are planning on graduating:
- Fill out the online Graduation Survey
- Print out or copy/paste on email the Petition to Graduate and send to Lisa, the Coordinator of MBA Programs
- Meet with Lisa, and complete your final program of study and submit your other materials. Please contact the MBA Office to set up an appointment. This step can also be done by email/fax if necessary.
URI holds a special Graduate Commencement on a Saturday in May, the day before Undergraduate Commencement. There is no December graduation ceremony. Students graduating December, May and the summer may walk in May. Summer graduates must complete their petition to graduate in January with the May graduates. All Commencement details will be found at the URI Commenecement website as May approaches. All students should expect to receive their diploma in the mail about three months after the semester they graduate.
If you wish to have your name in the Commencement program and/or in your local newspaper, you need to check to see if you have restricted access to your information. If so, you would need the information restriction (FERPA) lifted. To do so, log on to ecampus, click on “SA Self Service”>“Personal Portfolio”> “Tasks”>“FERPA/Directory Restrictions. If you have a FERPA restriction, uncheck the appropriate field(s) and click “SAVE”. If you have any questions, please contact the Office of Enrollment Services at 401-874-9500. YOU MUST REMOVE IN ORDER TO HAVE YOUR NAME LISTED.
