Evening Program Fall 2007 Schedule
Overview
Classes are scheduled to begin on September 5th and finals end on December 21st. A detailed academic calendar is available.
Registration: For matriculated students, the date to register depends on total credits (check e-Campus starting February 16th, to find when you can start registration). Registration begins March 27th - for returning students and June 6th for new students. Non-matriculated students can start to register July 5th. Go to e-Campus to register for classes. Keep in mind that the last day to add a course is September 18th, and the last day to drop a course is October 30th (see http://www.uri.edu/es/students/bill/BillAdjRefundInfo.html for the billing adjustment calendar if you drop a class after Sept 4th)
Tuition is $TBA per credit for in-state (Rhode Island) residents and $TBA per credit for out-of-state students. (has not been determined yet by the Board of Governors)

Weekend Seminar Courses
HDF 598: The Seven Habits of Highly Effective People
Course fee: TBA; due at time of registration.
Over the past fifteen years the Seven Habits of Highly Effective People course has been offered to over a million people in corporations, education, government and health care. The course introduces a process that combines effective leadership and management practices. It focuses on developing a clear mission, self-management, and commitment. It promotes and prizes respect, trust, teamwork, and a principled work/life philosophy.
Participants will learn strategies to:
- Develop principle-centered, value-driven, and mission-oriented organizational and personal goals.
- Learn better listening and negotiation skills to improve relationships with colleagues, team members, customers, and important people in your life.
- Work more effectively with other people, resulting in higher-quality decisions and greater organizational unity.
- Develop leadership skills to enhance influence over key areas of professional and personal life.
The University of Rhode is offering this course under special license with the Franklin Covey Leadership Center. It will be conducted by a certified instructor in an intensive two-weekend format. It is open only to matriculated students (including part-time matriculated students) and URI faculty and staff and their family members. This course may be of particular interest to students in management, leadership, human resources, education, health care, psychology, human development, and administration.
Prerequisite: Junior, senior, or graduate standing. (3 undergraduate/graduate credits)
