Club Mission:
The URI Entrepreneurship Club was formed with the mission of creating an environment for innovation through a network that connects talented students with successful business leaders. The club will help give students the head start needed to perform in today's increasingly competitive market. In addition the club will provide students with the tools, mentorship, relationships, and guidance to make their business ideas a reality. The club equips students with real-world applications and education of the concepts learned in the classroom. We hope to encourage the collaboration between students and business leaders to spur new ideas, products, businesses, community initiatives, and jobs to strengthen the community. Similar collaboration between Universities and the private sector has resulted in areas abundant in economic development such as Silicon Valley and the Rt. 128 Corridor, which have spawned companies such as Intel, HP, Microsoft, Google, Ebay, and several others.
