Ms. Shili Shen received her BS in International Business from Chung Yu College in Taiwan, and her MS in Accounting from Johnson and Wales University in Providence, Rhode Island. She is currently the Database Coordinator/Office Manager for the PACAP Research Center at the University of Rhode Island. Prior to becoming Database Coordinator, Ms. Shen received extensive training in the PACAP Research Center.

Before joining the PACAP faculty, Ms. Shen held the following positions of responsibility: Accounting Clerk for Belmont Fruit; Principal of South Kingston Chinese School; Tax Preparer for H&R Block; Patent and Trademark Specialist at the Hasting Law Firm in Hong Kong; and Manager in the Trademark Department of Cathay Law Firm in Taipei, Taiwan.

Ms. Shen is directly responsible for the creation, management, and maintenance of the PACAP Databases. She extracts accounting and financial information from original sources and, together with the programmers, transforms the data into PACAP Database format. To manage the Databases, Ms. Shen must work closely with the programmers to validate and cross-check all of the compiled data. She also conducts English translations of accounting and financial data related to companies on the Taiwan Stock Exchange.

Ms. Shen serves as the contact person for the database providers and subscribers. In addition, she is responsible for all administrative duties of the PACAP Research Center office.
