This page describes the CBA Scholarship application process and provides access to the online application form

The online application form will be available Monday, March 17, 2014through Tuesday, April 29, 2014.

It is strongly recommended that all information submitted in the application form be prepared ahead of time. A list of required and optional information items is provided below. You can print this page to use as a reference and checklist while preparing your application.
The quality and clarity of written responses will hold substantial weight in the Scholarship Committee's decisions. Written statements can be developed ahead of time in a word processing document and pasted (plain text) into the appropriate sections of the application form.
The following information will be needed to complete the application. Please review this before proceeding with the application:
Information about you
Your URI Student ID Number
Your preferred mailing address, telephone number, and email address
The location of your home town and your high school
Your date of birth
Your College Entrance Exam scores (SAT or ACT)
Your class standing (Freshman/Sophomore/Junior/Senior) as of the upcoming (Fall) semester
Your declared URI major(s)
Your URI official cumulative GPA
Your membership in certain race, ethnicity, or geographic-origin categories (optional)
Information about your application
Whether you are applying for a scholarship based on academic merit
Whether you are applying for a scholarship based on financial need
Optional written statements (Statements can be prepared beforehand in a word processing document and pasted into the application form. Each statement is limited to 3000 characters which is about one double-spaced typed page, although they need not be that long. It is not expected that all applicants will provide all optional statements.)
A statement about your academic, scholarly, or intellectual accomplishments
A statement about your financial need
A statement describing your URI extracurricular activities (including URI leadership activities) that are relevant to the Scholarship Committee's decision
A statement describing your community or extramural activities (including external leadership activities) that are relevant to the Scholarship Committee's decision
A statement describing your experiential learning or internship experiences that are relevant to the Scholarship Committee's decision
